Je copie/colle ici un post du forum de the wrestling game que je trouve intéressant et utile pour créer un nouveau catcheur :

Ok, great, you've signed up for The Wrestling Game, now what?

1) First things first, what class are you? That's going to determine a lot about how you're going to want to begin training your stats and moves. But regardless of what class you are, you're going to want a certain base level of skill points to begin distributing. So start training your stats, all of them to around level 3-5. Don't bother distrubting the points just yet let them build up while you do other things.

While this is going on, take a few minutes to review your starting move set and familarize yourself with the positions the move force you opponents into. It might also be a good idea to level up these begining moves so that the "Attack bonus" on each of them goes up a couple of points. This will help you out. You can train moves and stats at the same time so try to keep both going at once for your first couple of hours in game.

Once your stats reach level 4 we'll say, click over to the gym and find the "improve your abilites" section. Here you'll see your four ability types, Strength, Speed, Technique, and Resistence.. they are all important and will play a role in your success or failure as a wrestler. first things first, locate your class skill, for Balanced it is Versitility, Power: Fury.. etc and raise it as many times as your stat level will allow you to. this will give you a good base to start out with for your class template. Then you can play around a little bit with the points you have left over, when you're just starting out I'd recomment a few extra hitpoints, attack bonus, adrenaline gain, dodge, and block. Whatever stratagey you use later on having a base skill level in these will only help you. Keep in mind, none of your skills can be raised higher than the level of the ability.. so if your speed is rated at a five, your dodge skill cannot be raised higher than level 5. The same goes for class skills.

Once you've done this, if you're a balanced character you're going to want to keep building your stats evenly, but if you're a specialty class, you're going to want to start focusing on that skill. The conventional wisdom is raise it 3 levels for every level of your other stats you raise.

2)
signature/trademarks and finishers.

In your tutorial the game had you make th Signatures and Finishers as part of the process. you're going to want to make some more. First lets go to your Signatures. You can only have one Signature per position so go ahead and raise your base moves to level 5 in whatever positions you chose and make them Signatures. It doesn't matter of the move isn't a very good one right now, the point is to get it start building xp. later on you can delete that signature and preserve some of that xp to put toward a new better move! it's a win win for you, as the signature tends to be a more powerful version of the move anyway.

the same goes for finishers, as you're starting out just build moves that will get a lot of repetitions earning a lot of xp and level ups (translated into executions for reassignment purposes) so that later when you get your adrenaline gain up to a good level.. 15+ you can make new finishers that will REALLY make an impact in your matches.

3)
Ok time to pick some fights if you haven't been already. Try to stay as near to the +100/-100 even match as you can, people with this rating (and similar stat levels) tend to give you the best overall matches.. they tend to last longer and you tend to last long against them. This is important because your moves can level up on their own just like finishers and trademarks can, though use. So the more reps your moves go though.. the more money you save on training.

4)
It's going to be tempting to buy the new moves as soon as they become available. RESIST THIS TEMPTATION! The cash you've got will vanish faster than you believe, so take care of it and save it for leveling your good moves.. in starting your knee stomp, samoan drop, ear slap, and double axe handle are the keys to your success as well as your signatures/finishers. If you continue to level up your class skill as soon as you have enough skill points available soon you will start to have your class only moves open up. buy these! Spend some time traning them and replacing some of your old signatures with them and you'll start to see real improvement in your game.

5)
Final note: use this early part of the game to form a long term goal for your character.. are you going to be a hardcore guy? if so you might want to start saving xp for first blood and lms matches and increase your bleeding bonus. Do you want to get some great submission moves and have your opponents begging for mercy? use the move list and start planning your ability increases accordingly. Just don't get in a rush, remember that building your wrestler is a long term strategy, things you do to make yourself win now, might just well hurt you later on, so be patient, keep building steadily and saving up to train high quality moves, do your time as a jobber and at the bottom of the ladder, and before you know it you're going to be beating people who used to defeat you easily.

Goodluck and welcome to the game, hope to see you in the ring soon. Twisted Evil

-Phoenix
